Do I need a referral?
Yes. All the referral information you need can be found here.

What are your fees?
As of 1 July 2022, the fee for a standard session is $230. The fee for an assessment before weight loss surgery is $285. Fees are the same for face-to-face and telehealth delivery.

What are my payment options?
Fees are always payable on the day, preferably by credit card. Arrangements can be made for bank transfer if required. Cash is not accepted.

Do you have a cancellation fee?
As long as the session is cancelled before the commencement of the session, a cancellation fee does not apply. Cancellations can be made by replying “No” to the confirmation text, or calling (03) 5221 9755. A non-attendance fee of the full fee is chargeable in the event of not arriving for a booked session. This must be paid before further sessions can be booked.

Does a Mental Health Treatment Plan mean I don’t have to pay?
Unfortunately, no. There is always a gap between the fee and and rebatable amount. For example for a standard session seen under a Mental Health Treatment Plan, the fee is $230 payable on the day, the Medicare rebate you get back is $131.65, leaving a gap of $98.35 per session.

Do you see people under NDIS, Workcover and TAC?
NDIS participants and/or their care team are welcome to contact DSM Psychology to explore if their goals are a good fit with the services offered. Due to the demand for existing services, unfortunately referrals are not accepted for Workcover, TAC or other compensable schemes.
